June 2nd, 2006 Large Investment in Beyeler in GothaBystronic has made further investments in its subsidiary Beyeler Maschinenbau GmbH in Gotha, Germany. In the middle of May this year a new building was opened, which in addition to a demonstration facility also houses a highly modern, integrated sheet metal processing center. With a new building at Beyeler Maschinenbau GmbH, Bystronic has expanded the processing facilities at its press brake competence center in Gotha/Germany and ensured the best possible customer service. In addition to the training and meeting rooms, the some 65 meter long and 20 meter wide hall houses a state-of-the-art and fully equipped demonstration center with press brakes from all three Bystronic product families: Hämmerle 3P, Beyeler PR and AFM EP. In addition to the individual machines, (potential) customers can also experience the excellent properties of a bending cell consisting of a Beyeler press brake and an industrial robot from ABB. Separated only by a glass wall from the demonstration center, is the second highlight of the new building, namely a new integrated sheet metal processing center that is equipped entirely with Bystronic machines. With the aid of a Bystar laser cutting system, a Hämmerle 3P and a Beyeler PR press brake, together with a plate shear, all the sheet metal parts are produced for the Bystronic products that are manufactured in Gotha. Hence the Bystronic machines can now also be assessed under true production conditions. Beyeler Maschinenbau GmbH, with its approximately 200 employees, is in addition to the plant in Tianjin/China one of two factories for Bystronic press brakes. Since the company was taken over in 2002 by the Swiss machine tool manufacturer, numerous investments have been made in quality, technology and know-how so that in the meantime the factory has the most modern infrastructure, such for example Europe's largest welding robot. "At this site, with the Beyeler and Hämmerle press brakes, state-of-the-art technology is produced for the world market. The new possibilities will allow us to expand our already strong position even further", said Sven Künkels the Managing Director of Beyeler Maschinenbau GmbH during the opening of the new building on 11 May of this year.
